Manager and Employee of the Year

Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa is proud to announce Billy Bodnar, Controller, has been named Manager of the Year for 2010, and Cynthia Bellavance, REDS morning Restaurant Supervisor, has been awarded the 2010 Employee of the Year at the Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa.

Mr. Bodnar is a member of the Executive Committee that sets the operating standards to maintain the AAA Four Diamond Award, and manages the business side of the hotel.  Mr. Bodnar has been at Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa since 2005.  Previously he worked in the local hospitality market for a main competitor.

Awarded annually, nominees are selected, evaluated, and voted by their peers for their knowledge, involvement, outstanding guest service, positive and friendly attitudes, and good standing within the hotel.  Since nominations come from peers and he was chosen by a vote of his colleagues, this award is a real honor.  “It is a pleasure to recognize Billy with this award,” said Ed Conway, General Manager.  “I value all of our employees, who are all a part of our exceptional guest service here at Sedona Rouge.  We are always striving to improve and it can only happen with a dedicated management team and leaders who care.”

Mr. Bodnar was awarded with a luxurious and relaxing getaway for two at The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale with a resort credit of $100.   He also received a gift certificate of $100 to Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar.

Ms. Bellavance, winner of the 2010 Employee of the Year, joined REDS Restaurant as a hostess in October 2009. Right from the start, guests submitted comments on the friendly, caring and professional treatment they received from Ms. Bellavance.  She was always willing to help wherever needed. Trained to assist with the restaurant administrative functions as well, Chef Ron Moler says she is truly his “right hand.”  She was promoted to the position of morning Restaurant Supervisor in October 2010.  Working the morning shift, Ms. Bellavance has set the standard for quality guest service for breakfast and lunch.  The morning staff respect and appreciate her care, organization and dedication to making the morning team shine.  Guest comments have gone from good to great!  Her smile and friendliness are appreciated by all.

Ms. Bellavance won a 3-night stay at The Keating and Reserve in beautiful San Diego, $50 dining credit, and two tickets to SeaWorld along with $500 cash.
