Release and Reconnect with a Couples Harmony Session

This blog post contributed by: Heather M, Hunter, MA, Holistic Psychotherapist and Wellness Intuitive.

We all deserve time to focus on our own wellbeing, and even the best romantic relationships must deal with stressors and the ups and downs of everyday life. Taking a vacation together—and experiencing the relaxation and rejuvenation of the spa services at Sedona Rouge together—can be an extraordinarily blissful bonding experience.

However, once couples return to “reality”, stress, deadlines, obligations and the general rigors of everyday living can quickly take their toll.  A Couples Harmony Session at Sedona Rouge helps couples build greater relationship communication and harmony through an effective application of counseling techniques and powerful intuition.  With support and guidance, the roots of individual patterns and interpersonal as well as intrapersonal issues are gently revealed.  Each partner experiences a greater understanding of his or her unique personal journey and thereby becomes empowered to tie that understanding into the building of a cooperative and harmonious partnership.  Couples return home with deeper insights into themselves and the relationship dynamic that continue to benefit the partnership long after the session has ended.

To further enhance your renewed connection while simultaneously releasing any heaviness from the past, I strongly encourage couples to follow the Couples Harmony Session with either the Couples Massage or Pas De Deux.  The Spa at Sedona Rouge is offering a 15% discount on Couples Harmony Session packages, combined with either or both of the above mentioned services.

To book your Couples Harmony Session, call 928.340.5331 or email

Girlfriend’s Spa Day

This post contributed by Heather Hermen.

Have you ever just wanted to get away with your gal pals? You want it to be enjoyable but hey why not relaxing too? A day at The Spa at Sedona Rouge is the perfect fit.

With company coming into town from Pennsylvania, I knew that a day at the spa would be something to add to their itinerary while in Sedona. With a group of seven we had a wide age range from teenagers to moms and a wide variety of spa desires: facials, relaxation, tension relief, and just to escape in the peace and quiet.

We were able to satisfy and surprise everyone with facials and massages but also our appetites by arriving early to eat at REDS at Sedona Rouge with veggie wraps, salads, and of course sweet potato fries. We strolled to The Spa, changed into our robes and sat in comfort and excitement waiting for our Spa experts to greet us for our treatments. After we were each treated to ‘the divine’ at The Spa. We met up with each other and discussed what we enjoyed the most and also how we couldn’t wait to do it all again.

The Spa at Sedona Rouge made this vacation for the Pennsylvania clan, and this Sedona local, a trip to remember! To book your Spa getaway click here or call 928-340-5331.

Divine is Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa

This blog post contributed by John Beeler.

Just what is “divine”? For some, it could be a warm cup of italian coffee. For others, it could be a cocktail by the pool on a warm summer day. At Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa, we think of “divine” a little differently. Savoring a sumptuous prime beef short rib dinner on our rooftop observation deck at sunset, surrounded by stunning red rocks. Losing track of time in a 2-hour deep-tissue ayuvedic massage in our Spa. Or even escaping to your own premiere red rock sanctuary.

At Sedona Rouge, we believe divine is in the details of your journey. Our Andalusian-themed property is a true oasis of modern luxury in one of the most serene locations in the country. Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa is one of the only properties in Sedona designed with contemporary elements in mind. Your first steps onto the property welcome you under our port-cochere and into the fountain courtyard. Leave your bag–and your cares–at the curb. Our staff strives to ensure that every aspect of your stay is comfortable, luxurious, and effortless. Our rooms & suites pamper guests with custom-designed amenity products produced locally in Sedona. We believe locally-sourced ingredients not only help Sedona businesses but also reduce our environmental impact through sustainability.

And when it’s time to wind down, relax and indulge on our custom-made beds, which you can purchase for your own home. No detail is too small at our property. Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa- stay with us, and discover divine.

Ms. Heather M. Hunter Joins The Spa at Sedona Rouge

The Spa at the Sedona Rouge is pleased to announce Ms. Heather M. Hunter, M.A., Holistic Psychotherapist and Medical Intuitive will now be offering her services as well as special sessions at the Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa.

Heather M. Hunter received her B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University and an M.A in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of San Diego. She frequently writes on mind/body/spirit integrative health topics for AZ  Health and Wellness Magazine, and is a member of the American Holistic Medical Association.

She was instinctively guided into prayer and meditation, which she credits as the beginning of turning her life around.  During this time of self-evaluation, Heather was drawn to meditation groups and inspirational classes. It was during a workshop with a world-renown psychic medium that Heather began to receive messages from others’ loved ones on the other side. Soon thereafter,  Heather’s intuitive abilities skyrocketed, forever changing the course of her counseling work.

The first opportunity to take advantage of the amazing services Ms. Hunter offers will be March 15 & 16 when she will be offering Couples Harmony Sessions at The Sedona Rouge. Until then, enjoy this article written by Ms. Hunter, previously published in Arizona Health and Wellness Magazine. A Hawaiian Journey in Sedona

This blog post contributed by Heather Hermen.

Ever heard of Lomi Lomi? I hadn’t either. When I read the description of the Lomi Lomi treatment at The Spa at Sedona Rouge I was intrigued. I didn’t ask a lot of questions because I wanted to just go with the flow and let Kelly, my therapist, talk me through what I was about to experience.

Just a little background she provided for me; Lomi Lomi is a Hawaiian form of massage and that comes from their philosophy, Huna. The essence of Huna is that everything seeks harmony and love. So, the Lomi Lomi treatment is all about balance with love and energy and fluid movements. Kelly incorporated her breathing with the flow of the ocean and her movements went with the ocean as well.

Kelly urged me to clear my mind of all thought and just picture floating and really move with the fluidity of her movements and what I pictured in my mind as the ocean’s movements. She then told me there would be a lot of oil because she needed her movements to really glide over my body.

This treatment is not one for the average Spa goer who wants deep body work and release of tension in certain spots, but rather, the Spa goer who wants to let go and really feel the power of movement, balance and essentially- love. Kelly is a gifted therapist and really knows how to connect what she is doing with the person she is working on. The Lomi Lomi is certainly one of her talents. This treatment helped me clear my mind more than I ever have while being worked on and the fluid movements were some of the most peaceful I have ever enjoyed.

If harmony, love and balance is something you are looking for, why not try a little Lomi Lomi?
